The Health Coach Alliance™ (HCA) is the largest health coach professional membership association in Canada.

Being a member confirms that I have met specific standards of education, and I have the experience, knowledge and tools to work as a Registered Health Coach (RHC ™). Also, The HCA falls under the governance of the Canadian Association forIntegrative Nutrition (CAIN), giving you more confidence that you’re working with a professional.

Canadian Fitness Education Services (CFES)

Certified Personal Trainer

Canadian Fitness Education Services (CFES)is an educational resources program publishing house, fitness leadership training and national certification agency. CFES is committed to enhancing the fitness knowledge and activity effectiveness of individuals through quality career programs, products and services.

Even, when I studied Fitness and Health Promotion at the college, I still need a certification that demonstrates I have the competency and credentials for creating and delivering safe and effective exercise programs, so since my graduation from the fitness program, I have kept my certification updated.

The Institute of Integrative Nutrition (IIN)

Health Coaching

IIN is the largest nutrition school in the world. During one year, I was exposed to more than 100 dietary theories, and I studied with the worlds top health and wellness experts including: 

  • Joshua Rosenthal, founder of the Institute for Integrative Nutrition 
  • Mehmet Oz, MD, Cardiothoracic surgeon, best-selling author, and star of The Dr. Oz Show 
  • Deepak Chopra, MD, Mind-Body Medicine Expert, Bestselling Author, and Guest Speaker 
  • Frank Lipman, MD, Expert in Integrative and Functional Medicine, and Founder of Eleven Eleven Wellness Center. 
  • Walter Willett, MD, DrPH, chair of nutrition at Harvard University IIN transformed my point of view of health and wellness with theories as bioindividuality, the circle of life and primary food. 

Some topics that I learned during the last year are: Hormonal balance, deconstructing cravings, superfoods, gut health, digestion, macronutrients, elimination diets, and of course everything related to health coaching and holistic nutrition. 

And if you are not sure what a Health Coach is, it’s a supportive mentor and guide who helps clients feel their best through food and sustainable lifestyle changes.
