A Health Coach is a guide and supportive mentor who empowers clients to take responsibility for their health and the achievement of their personal wellness goals.
I will be your partner during a transformation process that you will lead. My job is to help you to step out and take action, hold you accountable, and follow through with the changes you have decided to take. I’ll help you to identify where you are, and where you’d like to be, what is on your way, and work on removing those obstacles.
It’s a free-session that allows us to discover where you are struggling and where you want to be, and how I could help you to close that gap. The duration is up to 50 min.
First, I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach regarding diet. I don’t like to even the word “diet”. We are all different, our bodies respond in different ways to food, so, we will find together what could work for you. Also, I won’t give you your program and let you figure out how to implement everything, my work is to guide you month by month in making conscious changes. A real transformation takes time and my focus is on sustainability, building up, step by step new and healthy habits. For this reason, the commitment is for at least 6 months, unless you reach your goals in less time.
My programs are personalized, they are created especially for you. For that reason, the first step is a detailed analysis of your current lifestyle, eating habits, and fitness level. Monthly, I’ll make an adjustment to your program based on your progress and your body’s response to the new challenges. Additionally, you will get my guidance and support during the whole program, keeping you accountable and true to your goals.
The first thing you should check when you’re thinking of starting virtual training is about how the workouts are delivered, basically because explaining proper exercise technique is key, and it can help you to avoid injuries. So, virtual training is a good option for you if you have some experience working out; however, regardless of the option you choose, 1:1 virtual or working out at your own time, I’ll always focus on explaining exercise techniques and demonstrate the right form and I am always available to check your form or to clear any doubts. Also, every single exercise has a video of me demonstrating how to perform it, so you could become familiar with the movements, and check the exercise as many times as you need.
Your exercise programs will be available through a fitness application, I’ll create your profile and upload your routines there, so you could check exercise videos, and even track your progress. Regarding the nutrition programs, yes, you’ll receive a PDF with your personalized nutrition report monthly.
The simple answer is because everyone’s journey is different, our bodies respond in different ways to exercise and eating habits, and the body you see in those pictures is not yours. I want you to become your best version and that implies not comparing yourself with anyone. Also, it’ll be against my values to tell you that you’ll get a specific result in a specific period because my job is to help you have a healthy relationship with food and movement, and I think is not healthy to promise you that you will lose “X’ pounds in a specific time frame.
This is a common question, and honestly, results depend on several factors including genetic disposition, physiological adaptation to prescribed exercises, effort applied to each workout, consistency, nutritional quality and variety. And it’s for those reasons that your progress is measured monthly to make the necessary adjustments. Additionally, my focus is on sustainability and adopting a healthier lifestyle, so you don’t have to make another “diet” again in your life, and doing this requires time. There are no magical solutions.
I work with people who are generally healthy with mild health concerns such as headache, fatigue or sugar cravings, but I don’t cure disease or work with people with complex advanced diseases such as cancer or kidney failure. as a Health Coach, I am not replacing a dietitian; instead, I am mentoring clients to create and maintain long-term lifestyle changes to enhance their overall wellness.
